my son did something similar when he was 5-6 on a PW50. He cranked it wide open and paniced.... luckily he wiped out fairly quickly and didn't get hurt.....

they have people doing that same stuff with mopeds / motorcycles on America's Funniest Video's (i know I am a nerd) all the time.
