A few pond pictures to share
I've recently added additional filtration and a UV to my pond to clear up the green water. Green water is good for the fish but got stuck in my Lab's coat and made him stink too often.
The pond is 21,000 gal with 75 Koi, the largest is 27". The quality ranges from $300, to $5 walmart specials. For refrence the Ochiba (blue and brown in photo sucking on my finger was $250) Since I'm not a Koi purist I will never have $1000+ carp,.. I just can't imagine having a heron fly off with that much money
I need a polorizing lense on my camera, the water is so clear now you can see the bottom 5' down, however the glare and reflection don't show so well in pictures.
Hope you enjoy the photos.

Looks great!! For about 8 months your old pond setup was my dekstop background on my office computer. People asked all the time if that was my house and I got tired of explaining s2ki and stuff, so I just started saying, it's a friend's in Cali. Much easier
Looks like a might have a new desktop image! I just will need a different view like you had of the old ones, from the other side of the ponds. Thanks in advance

Thanks all,..
Mikey I will see if I can get a picture on Sunday when it rains, after rain photos are best.
Hondagal, I had a very "natural" system for the longest time.
12K gal pump going from the two bottom drains via 3" pipes up and over the showers, this produced tons of o2 that's the key in quality water. This is how most of the Japanese Breeders do it. However, they have flow thru systems where they get pretty big water changes daily, where my system did not. This system worked very well, never a sick fish and Koi grew huge with fantastic color, and never a problem with string algae. The only reason I upgraded was to improve the smell of my dogs
:
My upgrade was adding a 20K Ultima II, and a Delta UV sterilizer.
I still have to build an enclosure to hide them from view.

always enjoy pics of your back yard.
if BAC keeps on in the direction its been heading (based on your recommendation early this year, i researched and picked up at ~11), i should be able to afford a back yard like yours in no time.
