Does the car wash serve a purpose in the game? It doesn't seem to do anything

Yeah, it's just a waste of credits. I mean, the only time the actual look is different is when your in the garage or whatever. In the race, the cleanliness of the car is the same. I used it at first, then discovered this and stopped using it.

The games manual says it helps areodynamics. I can't tell the difference.

 

Are you talking about the first original Gran Turismo? Anyway, you can find the song in the back of the game manual-this is also the case for the other 2 Gran Turismo games

Oooppss...you're right. The areodynamics is only true in GT3. In GT and GT2, it's a waste.
