Although I've had my GT3 reserved for some time, i went out and bought the PS2, an extra controler, memory card, and TWISTED METAL: BLACK. It was like $420!!! JEEZ! And of course I'll have to get a force feedback steering wheel for "the game" that comes out July 10-11!
So, now my question(s)...Why is the new GT3 called A-spec? Is there going to be a B-spec made later or something? Also, (blau-blau) Does anyone know the differences between the Jap. GT3 and North America GT3? or is that something we have to wait for?
Thanks in advance for any info! Now just 16-17 days away!!!

P.S.S.S.S Anyone know any codes for Twisted Metal:Black (besides INVULNERABILITY)?

I think A-spec is the Japanes version while B-spec is the American version..

 

well actually if you remember the jpn ps2 launch you will remember a game called Granturisimo 2000, it was poorly developed due to sony insisting that it be a launch title, unsatisfied with the game the ppl at polyphony digital decided to remake the game, since most ppl in jpn considered gt2000 as gt3, they decided to call it gt3 a-spec.

Are you saying that GT3 A-Spec (coming out July 10-11), is actually GT2000 and it came out in Japan a long time ago? I would think that since their GT3 has been out for some time now, that our game would be a better version. Am I wrong? Could you or anyone explain in more detail?

The US version is called A-Spec. It will be the same as the Japanese, except that language defaults are probably reversed. I doubt there are any other changes, but I could be wrong.

You are insane to buy a PS2 just for this game. I think it will be over-hyped.

 

no gt2000 was rushed for launch date, they made vast improvements for gt3 a-spec since gt2000 wasnt up to their liking, but as far as b-spec being online capable, i have no clue ,but its a good guess.

 

All i know is that Lamborghini (spelling?) that IS in the Jap GT3 won't be in our game due to licensing problems or something. Also, I'm not sure if Jap GT3 A-spec has F1 cars, but ours will have (2) F1 type cars that you can unlock.
