hrmm. subtract total debt and preferred stock at par. hrmm. that doesn't quite jive with what I think I'm trying to find... as it reduces my divisor.

this calls for another PM... this time perhaps an even exchange of info (for your own benefit, perhaps... although I strongly suspect you are perfectly capable of calculating your own value investing metrics)
