Default Financial gurus - questions on stocks ....

Say, a marginal account has a 35% minimum to hold the positions, and each share is not suppose to go under $5.

When you get the marginal call, does it work something like - Monday you got a marginal call for $500, and Tuesday the shares went back to the original purchased price, do you still have to pay that $500 because it went "undervalue" on Monday? Even though you now no longer need to deposit that $500 to hold the position ...

Thanks

Not 100% percent sure how it works in the USA but margin calls are normally settled overnight which means your $500 is gone from your margin account before the start of trading the next day.
