Finnish Driving licence
To those of you who have seen the latest episode of top gear what do you think about the the requirements to get a license in Finland? It seems like it would be a good idea to have something like that here in the U.S.
For those of you who havent seen it. One of the requirements on the driveing test is the ability to do a power slide. They had some footage of a kid that was practicieing for his test and he was just spinning in circles on some wet pavement. They said you had to learn control of the car by letting it get out of control.

i dont know. you should know how to control your car, but i see people here taking that too far and next thing you know you have people powersliding all over the place saying they were practicing.
i do think that once you hit a certain age, like 70 or something, you should be required to take at least a vision and mental test each year to see if you're capable of driving.

They say its so harsh their because driving on their streets is like driving on a rally track. In general though european drivers are better than americans. Im not sure why though. Maybe stricter laws?
