You can mod Fasterfox to work with FF 3.0, very simple fix. And it works great. It may not be as streamlined as a program and processing power, but the internet portion of it is just as fast as Chrome.

Most of my pages load in under a second, and on the larger pages, I hardly wait more than 5 seconds.

im talking i guess mainly my computer too

chrome seems to take up a lot less memory

whenever i use firefox on my computer it will lock up for a second while changing pages or tabs

chrome doesnt do this
also idk chrome is just a lot cleaner in a way

but thats just my opinion
i recommend Chrome and Opera over anything so far
stay away from Safari for PC..terrible browser

FF has ~15% market share and it's growing fast. Some people estimate it's already over 20%.

Nothing new here compared to the other replies, but I'm using it right now and exclusively at home and at work.

Been using Firefox for years now since release and NEVER looked back since. Every time I open up IE, the slow loading is EPIC compared to FF.

I also started using Google Chrome which runs a bit faster, but I still prefer FF.

Firefox >>>>>>>>>>> IE. My IE keeps getting errors. Also, I love the Firefox's automatic fill-in feature.

back in july FFox market share was 20%. from a download perspective though, firefox trounces all others. i have chrome, but i just like my add-ons too much. and if you think chrome is fast, try minefield! its very beta so be careful with it though....

Okay, Thanks everyone for your recommendation. I have made the switch. I like it. It seems to be faster and I especially like all the features.

But not all the websites I use on a regular basis work with FireFox which is a bummer. I use an online version of Quickbooks and it apparently is only compatible with IE. arrrgh.
