i remember reading the comic books like 15-18 years ago, and i'm watching the english animation version on showtime .

has anyone else seen it?

i've also seen a non-animated movie version, but that was kinda cheesy.

 

Oh oh...awesome movie. Haven't seen it in awhile though.

 

I vaguely remember seeing the non-animated movie. It was pretty cheesy and a little hard to follow the plot. Probably would've been easier to follow along if I hadn't kept flipping the channels.

Fist of the North Star- what an amazing movie. Exploding bodies, atomic kung-fu, romance, and betrayal all set in a post-apocolyptical world- reminds me of my childhood growing up in Sacramento, except for the romance.

The live version on the other hand- jesus... who gave the green light to make that thing? It makes the live version of "Street Fighter II" look like a latter-day Citizen Kane.

I think, however, the live movie would be great if it were redone now with all the new "Matrix" and "The One" technology.

 

I didn't even know a live version existed until today.

 

Trust me, you didn't miss much. The live version was pretty bad.

 

The live-action version was definitely cheesy! The anime version was excellent!

 

Alexis, that sounds like a rough neighborhood you grew up in! What part of Sac is that? and how long ago? I want to make sure I avoid it. j/k
