Yes, I have it. It's not all that great, I mostly play Combat Flight Simulator 2: Pacific Theater. It's great because you can get into a beautiful Vought F4U Corsair and dogfight against other folks at Zone.com.

You can fly with other people with Flight Sim 2002, but you can't shoot em down

blau-blau:

It's the best sim game for flying out there. If you have not bought it yet make sure you get Microsoft's Force Feedback 2 control stick. It enhances the flight. Also, check out Flightsim.com Make sure you click "Main Page" you will have to get a logon name also. The site is equivalent to S2000 International....you will learn more than you want and you will never be able to leave the site. Good luck

this is cool! i'm going to get the joystick later!

I have a quick question, i really want to fly a Boeing 747 from Vancouver to Salt Lake City today, how do I keep track of the flight path in the sky?

Thanks

teqneek: can you tell me more about the Combat Flight Sim?

One way is with navigation You are supposed to navigate using the maps, VORs, GPS, etc.

Good thing the Olympics are over, otherwise you'd be getting a visit from our friendly Storm-Troopers - also known as FBI SWAT - for that comment...

GPS is by far the easiest way. Just plan your route and choose GPS....then just follow the line. VOR takes a lot of time to learn, (used mostly for IFR) but once you learn it..watch out....you'll be able to earn your real wings.

Combat Flight Sim 2 is awesome. I play it more than I should, wishing I was able to fly the real thing

http://us.share.geocities.com/whytei3oi/final.bmp (copy and paste into your address bar if clicking doesn't work)

That's a screen shot I took earlier, I was getting ready to land on that carrier.

The graphics are pretty damn good.

To learn more about Combat Flight sim, you can check out this site...

http://www.combatfs.com

The game comes with two really thick manuals that'll help you learn to dogfight, and land on carriers and what not... it's about as real as it gets without doing the real thing.
