Default found a place to get a new "mini" bike

They sell mini moto gp bikes, im interested in getting one to mess with.

My biggest concern is, how legit it is.
does anyone know how to figure these things out?

this is the site pretty inexpensive for what they offer

Please let me know before I make a mistake.

I'm aslo having a very hard time getting info on laws and regulations on owning and operating one of these things in Illinois. Obviously not a highway vehicle, nor a rural street vehicle.

could you elaborate on what you mean by "how legit is it"? Are you talking about the website? or about riding around on one of them.

I have a couple of friends that have them, they are pretty fun. I've gone about 40 mph on one of them. This was like 3 years ago when they first came out. They were about $300, so pricing sounds pretty good.

As for the legality of them, you obviously can't drive them in traffic. You can drive them around in residencial areas and in bike lanes. I do know that some places (I heard of places in California) were trying to ban them on public streets because of the safety hazards...

More along the lines of the web site and the company itself.

It really seems like their offers are "too good to be true".
Call me paranoid, but dropping a X18-r nitro from a grand to 500 something, including next day shipping and tools for it, really makes the doller go far. Or I just dont understand the quality of such things.

I dont know.

Get a Honda CRF-50, much more practical and reliable, not to mention parts availability.

I know the owner personally. He bought a Honda Fit for his girlfriend this past New Years Day from my dealership. Tell him John from Sierra sent ya.
