Default Free Will . . . or Destiny: What Do You Believe?

In a presentation I use for a magic effect (we don't call them tricks!), I ask people about free will and destiny.

I thought that it would be interesting to get some statistics on people's beliefs.

So, do you believe in free will? Or do you believe in destiny?

(Please don't include long explanations about why you chose one over the other, or why there should be more than two choices on the poll, or why the two aren't exclusive, or to complain that I put free will first and that will subconsciously bias some people. Remember, this is just for gathering some statistics for a magic effect, not for a doctoral dissertation.)

Thanks!

I don't believe Free Will or Destiny exist apart from concepts in our own minds. Sorry, I didn't vote.

Come on Bill, let us at least argue about it

I voted free will as the lesser of two evils, so to speak. I believe that destiny is a cop-out for the indecisive and weak minded. But that's just my opinion!

Both, but I said free will because it is indeed the premise that is closest to what I believe. I don't want to have to get into a big explanation, so I'll leave it at that.

Free Will allows you to participate in this poll but you were destined to choose one of the options.

It's a choice you make of your own free will, a choice you were destined to make.
