Well.. not quite, but there is a cheaper, newly introduced 12 inch Powerbook with a 867 MHz with a 12" screen. Base model starts at 1800 dollars US and top of the line with the Superdrive is 2000 dollars US. 4.6 pounds and 1.18 inches thick! Very cool.

 

Yes YES I have laptop envy also!!

But mine is for the new 17" incher!!! Leave it to Apple to continue to push the envelope in hardware design!!
