Default Game Cube or XBox?

I haven't owned a console gaming system in a while, and I decided it's time to get back on the bandwagon. However, I can't decide whether I want to get an Xbox or Game Cube.

My initial gut feeling was to get the xbox because it will have more 'mature' games and leave out the kiddie stuff. However, then I realized a lot of nintendo's kiddie games, such as mario, are great!

One huge deciding factor is that game cube has a $199 price tag. That's a huge weight on nintendo's scale. On the other hand, game cube doesn't play dvds. Do I care? I haven't decided yet.

After seeing screen shots and a couple videos of Resident Evil on game cube I am leaning heavily towards getting a game cube. The shots look absolutely incredible. Also I read a review of Halo saying the graphics were about a "Geforce 2 Pentium III 400" range and nothing breathtaking.

What do you all think? Which to get? Which to buy?!
Which toilet shall I throw my money down?

The XBOX is fantastic. I was absolutely amazed with the quality of the XBOX and it's components. Bill really did his homework with this one. Keep in mind that when a new console comes out it takes a little while before you see games that demonstrate what the console is capable of.

Both.
I got the Xbox yesterday and have to say that I am impressed. Halo is sweet. Got munch too, but it is being neglected for Halo. Have my PS2 with Metal Gear 2, and getting a gamecube Sunday. I have just been the type to have them all. I just like games, no name brand loyalty. Although, I would have to say that playstation has me because of squaresoft and Final Fantasy.

I think XBox. A lot of my friends have PS2 and say they're going to get XBox anyways. Also there's been much more hype about XBox. Of course the fact that Nvidia created the vid card is a very good factor. I'll go with XBox

neither - PS2. remember how long the PSOne's have lasted, and how many great games they have pushed out there?

think if you went and got an Xbox - how many microsoft revisions are you going to go through every few years before you get tired of it? look who you are supporting.

gamecube - as always, nintendo makes a great console, so if you had to, I would go for this one, but I'm not sure the game content would be up your alley.
