Sixers played a awesome game, and the Lakers were too careless with the ball. Can you say "Rusty"? We'll get them next time.

They f'd up!

 

If anyone thinks the Lakers lost the game last night because they were rusty are nuts. Rusty teams come out slow, the game was 21-9 Lakers early. The Sixers played pressure D, and bodied Kobe and whomever (Lue, Fisher, Shaw) up the court. The Sixers guards (Bell, Snow, and especially McKie) were great on Kobe all night.

And Mutombo was excellent against Shaq. Wow, that guy is ridiculous. But when Mutombo was in, the Lakers didn't even think about driving to the hoop. The block on Kobe early in the game set the tone defensively for the Sixers. So Laker fans, keep looking past the Sixers, and I'll throw you a streamer from the streets of Broad and Pattison.

Allen Iverson is gone tear the Lakers apart next time too unless they continue to double cover him like they did in the second half. Lue won't be able to contain Iverson like he did last night, Iverson is just too good.

 

Lakers will be back. All that first game does is piss Shaq off. Also, Kobe always comes back big from crappy games. Sixers played well on Wednesday, but the Lakers will come back hard.
