Hey, I'm curious, I just got back into gaming recently, and I love GTA and Saints row games, are there any other games that have similar controls and what not, maybe police games, or mafia or something?

 

Those are known as Sandbox games.

Crackdown -Futuristic. You play as a cop and as you progress your skills grow. The game is pretty fun and cheap at gamestop.

Godfather I and II. GTA that takes place in the era's of the 1st and 2nd Godfather movie with some of the movies characters appearing in the game.

Sabetour- This game came out a month or so ago. Pretty fun. Takes place in Paris during the second world war.

Boarderlands - Not a 3rd person like the other games. Its first person but the game is very fun as you kill enemys, do hundreds of quests and level up.

Fallout 3 - HUGE map. Its a 1st/3rd person Action RPG. Very fun, takes place in 2166 post apolocpytic Washington DC and surrounding burroughs.


Boarderlands has a co-op story mode as well. If you end up picking that one up let me know I've been looking for someone to play with and start a new character.

Also, there are 2 complete standalone GTA games. Ballad of Gay Tony and Lost and Damned. You can buy the hardcopy at gamestop used for 35 bucks used I believe. They both got really good reviews.

 

Was gonna mention Saints' Row, but I see you beat me to it.

 

If you like open world 3rd person carnage check out PROTOTYPE

 

Prototype was fun for a while. I also loved Borderlands. I recommend those if you want to have fun and fck shiet up.

 

crackdown was one of the best games xbox 360 ever had.

 

hm never played / seen crackdown. most of the others on the list i have , and approve of.

GTA ballad of gay tony is an AWESOME add-on.

 

If you're going to bring up Prototype, you should also consider Infamous

 

he has 360... Infamous is PS3 exclusive my friend
