Default GAS OUT

Six years ago on April 30,1999, a gas out was staged across Canada and the
U.S. to bring the price of gas down, and it worked. It's time to do
something about it again.

This time, lets make it for three days instead of just one. The oil cartel
decided to slow production to drive up gasoline prices. Lets see how many
American people we can get to ban together for a three day period in August
NOT TO BUY ANY GASOLINE, during those three days.

LETS HAVE A GAS OUT. Do not buy any gasoline from August 29, 2005, THROUGH
August 31, 2005. Buy what you need before the dates listed above, or after,
but try not to buy any during the GAS OUT. If you want to help, just send
this to everyone you know and ask them to do the same. We brought the
prices down once before, and we can do it again!

Come on North America lets stand together.

Send this to your friends!!!!
This forward will make a difference!!!!
Anytime we can stick it to them it's a good day.

Another one of these? Sure it works. Like those emails asking you to send $5 to the names on a list will make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams.

I actually did that once for 9 or 10 months.

Work was 6 miles away and I was a total mountain biking freak putting 20+ miles a day on it.

I never drove a car or anything else for that matter for a whole season (and then some). I was in the best shape of my life.

People who think that will work is stupid.

"Buy what you need before the dates listed above, or after, but try not to buy any during the GAS OUT"

Uh..... they already made thier profit days before!

the price goes down so they say it worked, huh?

gas prices are a function of oil prices and refining capacity.

the first isn't coming down due to speculation and increasing demand. The second won't be fixed until we build more refineries. Not going to happen any time soon. Refineries in the US are at full capacity.

The people that organize these things have the economic knowledge of a peanut.
