Holy moly! Gas prices have steadily been decreasing. You guys know why? The cheapest I've seen around here is 2.09 for Premium, which is $.50 down from a month and a half ago. Now, it needs to go down another 50 cents.

So I guess none of you know why? They predicted it be well over $3/gallon this summer, yet so far it's been decreasing. Not that I'm complaining. Let's see, in the summer, demands increase so prices should also increase. I suppose it has something to do with the Middle East.

It's gone down to around $2.29/gal. for 93 down here in South Florida.

i would imagine the two are somewhat related, but they clearly diverge.

Anyway, in real (economic jingo for inflation-adjusted, the only TRUE way to compare time periods) gas is CHEAP. In the early 80's, it was the equivalent of $3 a gallon. Gas prices are above average, but certainly not HIGH.

Another thing with comparing $ over time...several movies claim to be the highest grossing, boasting they beat star wars and what not. remember in 77 movies were like $3-$4...now they are $7-$12. When compared in real terms, star wars is #1 by a longggg shot.
