O.K.... LOL I'm getting loads of requests from people about animated avatars. I haven't got time to help everyone who wants one, so here's how to go about it. I'm not going to cover how to do your own, like all things a little application and practise goes a long way. There's thousands of free animated gifs on the web that you can use, and they are all free as long as you are not using them in any commercial venture. Here's a link to one site:-

http://www.animfactory.com/

If you type 'animated gif in your search engine, you'll find loads of other sites where you can get them. For the minimum of fuss try to find files that are no more than 100X100 pixels and under 5K bytes in size. You only have to right click on these files with your mouse and 'Save As' a .gif file. Save to your desktop or wherever you prefer. You then simply have to go Mys2000/ Edit Options/ and Change Avatar. Click on Browse enter the path for your file on the desktop and the click on Submit and you've done it

For larger files you will need to alter the size of the file to 100X100 or less and down to a maximum of 5k bytes in size. You will need something like Paint Shop Pro Animation Shop to edit animated gif files. I say PSP because it's one of the cheapest packages and there are loads of trial versions of it about
anyway. It can be a real struggle to get some of the larger files down to the size restrictions set for this board. You may need to remove some animation frames and reduce the number of colours in the image to get it down to size. The best advice I can give you is persevere and you'll get to grips with it.. these packages aren't easy to master.

O.K. have fun and let's see loads of new avatars

BTW... Don't link to these files they much prefer you to just make the file your own. Copy it to your hard drive!!
