Voted. Usually I hate these things as narcissistic self-indulgence and do my part by voting for something/someone else. This ones different, definitely kosher in my book. Closest I am personally to FARA was cheering on team FARA during RAAM when they rode through.

 

It's quite disappointing, frankly, that there aren't more votes for Habitat for Humanity and Toys for Tots: both deserve better.

When I think of Toys for Tots, I am actually steered towards something like Child's Play. In my own screwed up way, I think it's "more" important because its 1) a kid PLUS 2) in the hospital.

Maybe that's a slim reasoning behind the lower votes? Other charities that do similar work?

You could also include the fact that some of the other charities tug at the heartstrings in a more in-your-face way.

Simplified:
Habitat - Someone needs a home, very sweet and nice.
Toys For Tots - Kid needs a toy

but...

Boys & Girls Club - Kid has a shitty life and needs a mentor to show them some good? Cue the tears!
