Default Good finance books?

I'm looking to start investing and am starting from the bottom up, knowing nothing. Anyone know any good books detailing financial issues, stocks, bonds, funds, everything?

If you want to know about the industry's regulation and how the basic fundamental works, just pick up a book for the NASD Series 7. Lots of info, particularly in rules and regs, with some basic info on how securities work. More info? Always ask for a prospectus about the particular fund/product you are looking for.

Can't say much about stocks, as you have to do the research yourself. I am more of a mutual fund person.

Fabozzi might be a little much if you are new to investments.

For a good intro, check out anything by either William Bernstein or Jonathan Clements.

The best choice would be The Intelligent Asset Allocator by Dr. William Bernstein.
