All I can say is: "DUH"

Hello? Does anyone actually think that marriage is the sole thing that brings happiness in life? Does anyone actually think there is a "quick fix" to give happiness? Marriage brings a lot of happiness, yes, but with it comes a ton of responsibility, work, and also stress. I'd say I'm happier overall now that I'm married, but I wouldn't say life is a whole lot easier or anything.

Sometimes I'm flabbergasted at the ridiculous studies some people do in order to conclude what common sense should have told them in the first place. Bah!

Oh, I dunno. Not too long ago, it was common sense that the world was flat. I mean, just look out your window!

It wasn't common sense, though, that the world was flat, just common thinking. They never thought it through and were browbeat into thinking it was that way (the ol' "ship disappearing over the horizon" thing, you know - should have been obvious).

I don't know of anyone anywhere that thinks marriage is the key to happiness, and therein lies the difference. These people did research to prove what everyone (more or less) knows and believes. Yay for well-spent tax and social program dollars.

Then again, it was American dollars so what do I care?
