Default Good paying part time jobs..

So Ive been working at radioshack and with the recent min wage increase, they arent going up. Im pretty pissed. You had to have qualifications of some sort to work there and now I mind as well go sit on my ass for 6.50 an hour somewhere else.

This will be the third time Ive had to switch jobs.

UPS - Hated loading boxes, that lasted a month
DirecTV Collections Dpt - Sitting still on a phone for 8 hours.. that got old
Mechanic/Builder at Trek of Pittsburgh - LOVED it here, paid well, fun job! Got laid off as soon as winter hit!
Radioshack - Pay is garbage now.

Ive heard of people working at Costco and sams club for like $10+ an hour..

Is there anywhere or anything else I can do that pays well thats a decent job??

Thanks!
-Dustin

go work as a busser or barback at a higher end restaurant. after tips and wages, you should make about $12-$20/hr. after you've acquired some experience in the restaurant business, you can move up to work as a server or bartender and make $20-$30/hr. fyi, working as a busser or barback is hardwork, so if you're looking for a job where you just sit on your a$$, then those are not the jobs for you.

Thanks Raj, Im not going to sit here and act like I paid for it.. I didnt.

I fell out with my dad, I pay for everything now. If the car wasnt paid off Id be paying for that too. I do insure it right now.

Starbucks is a good company to work for especially if you do not have health insurance.

I would agree with the busboy / bar back idea. You get to hang out with pretty cool people (generally) and make decent $.

I was a busboy in OC, MD for a summer and would make $5 an hour from the place plus $60-70 in tips for an average night and that was about 15 years ago...... we were supposed to get 10% of each waitresses $.... there were maybe 8 waitresses and 2 busboys...

Goodluck.

where do you go to college? IUP FTW (that is where I went. blaa)
