You know, I've always wanted to learn how to park like that.

I've seen another guy do something like that as well...he had 2 $80,000 cars parked against a curb, and he had enough clearance for 4 inches each way...he came at it so that he was perpendicular with the curb, and then just slammed on the brakes and swung right into place perfectly...he was a teacher at some kind of a defensive driving school.

I used to do that many years ago in my youth. I pulled in the driveway on the right side, cut the wheel hard left and grabbed a handfull of E-brake. The car would do a tight 180 and come to rest exactly in my spot. Course the driveway was snow covered at the time and I was going maybe 8 MPH.

Yanking the emergency brake will lock the rears and bring the rear end around (if you're turning at the time).

Now you know why they call it the "parking" brake

This guy was on Ripley's the other night where he had already broken the record of having 14 inches between him and the cars in front and aft, but this time he was going for 13 inches - 6.5" in the rear and 6.5 in the aft and swinging the car around. Needless to say it was raining at the time, and of course, he did it successfully.

Me and a buddy put a Crosby HotShot through a garage door in a similar maneuver. Actually little was said about the door but his mom was very pissed about the totaled washing machine. The car was found a home elsewhere.
