the satellite image is like 7 years old. My house was built 2 years ago and it didn't show up on the satellite map. All I saw was a big open space
my SF Bay Area satellite map off of google is old as well, but not by 7 years. there's this new development in my area called Victoria By the Bay. The houses have been there for at least a year now, however the Satellie maps only show the plots and the roads right now.

The image of Lafayettet, LA is not nearly that old. It shows a school bus that was purchased by my company less than two years ago.

Hey, I know that place. The last company I worked for did the grading and paving there.

I have been using it for a while and it is great! Google deserves to label their stuff "Google Technology".

And now u can map using satellite imagery.

An up-to-date mappoint is still way better than anything on the net.
