As far as the person's weight, I think it has to do with the department they are in, most of the state troopers/police seem to be in pretty good shape.

The Fed GSS is very similar to the state scale, and sometimes higher dependent upon location. I can assure you those in the Metro NY area are making at or above the GSS.
It is well known in NJ that parkway toll collectors START at $35k. They have 100% job security and sit on their asses all day collecting your $.70. A kid I went to HS with got a job as one out of school. Mind you, she was voted class clown (total flunky). She is now sporting an RSX, a nice apt and doesn't seem to be hurting for cash. She's must be making at least 55k now (working there for 12yrs). For those living in NJ, she works 4am - noon at the tollbooth after exit 148 on the GSP.

I used to be a civil servant for the fed, and it's weird how actually the lower end employees are overpaid (the majority), but at the upper end, for the type of work they are doing, they are grossly underpaid compared to the private sector.

The term "minority" should be strictly for use in relation to the number of population, but should not be used to group all of ethnic groups together, especially to use in unfavorable matter. Unless you're too stupid to have realized, Asians are not like Blacks, Hispanics, etc. Each is their own. Don't pretend to group everyone into the same category and degrade them! Crackhead!
