Thumbs up Graduating soon, any helpful advice on a career?

So I'm going to be graduating next quarter (March 08') with a Business Admin degree concentration on management and I am having trouble deciding on what type of career I want to get into.

The only thing I can be sure about is working in some sort of sales/commission position where my performance will be equivalent to my paycheck, I like the challenge.

As far as my previous work experience, I've done a little bit of everything.

I sold Cutco products during H.S.

Opened a clothing store in the mall during college (being my first business it was not too successful)

Right now I'm working IT support on campus.

My future aspirations will be to open up a business (used car dealership/auto tune-up shop)

If you need more info, let me know.

Become a Corporate Insurance Underwriter. You get to travel and meet Agents.

Go to cool business like Penske Racing Team, NASA, and all kinds of crazy stuff.

My wife is a Underwriter and gets to travel on the companies dime with me included!

What's your concentration?

Accounting? Maybe a CPA. Specialize in tax accounting.

Economics? Become, well, an economist.

Finance? Financial planner, securities analyst, options trader, portfolio manager.

Marketing? Start your own ad agency.

In Florida you are looking at at least $50,000 base salary with bonus incentives.

People in my wife's office were able to clear between 70 and 100k this year (including my wife) and that is not factoring in the ones that have been in the industry for 10 years or more.

It can be very lucrative. And the more certifictions you have under your belt the better.

I can only tell you what I like and don't like as far as a career, unfortunately. However, with a management concentration, how about a big consulting firm like McKinsey, Accenture, or BCG? They specialize largely in management consulting, and it pays well.
