Any Grammar and or Linguistics professors here?
Im preppin to take the GRE and I dont want to score anything less than a 6 on the writing section, so I need tips and recommendations to where I can get the best and most efficient study and practice material available.

i just took the GRE on monday...
when i first started studying i was worried mainly about verbal (my vocab sucks).. i studied that like mad. i used the barron's review book and that was good since it has word lists and it has the high-frequency word lists for the GRE too.
for the writing portion i thought the barron's book was pretty good too. they kinda walk you thru how you should approach each issue/argument. they also give samples which are helpful. i think the ability to convey your thoughts and generalize your statements is what they are grading here.
hopefully i got better than a 6! LOL......

A 6 is the absolute best you can score on the AWA and thats what I am aiming for.
And atleast 750 on the other two portions, gonna study my ass off for it and it alone for the time being.

^I see you might get deductions with spelling errors in written section.
My writing has really gone to hell over the past 4-5 years.
