Greatest = ColdPlay??? I think so!
What are you talking about? Have you never heard of EMO? Mineral, Gloria Record, Christie Front Drive, Sunny Day Realestate, Promise Ring....
Emo is a music an "alternative" genre which is more lyic driven and has "softer" melodies. Many bands list Radiohead as an influence. Well, no use getting into a pissing contest. If you disagree, that's cool.

I know RadioHead is also a GREAT band but they have absolutely nothing in common, a totally different genre to me, I meant that they were the greatest for their genre. I also love Chevelle but they also have NOTHING in common. I do enjoy a mixture of mellow and more up tempo music also but when ColdPay comes into the picture, that is their speciality, mellow calm music.
Some bands are flexible like that (Radiohead), but not all are, it also has to deal with the way the band is made up also, because Coldplay uses the piano a lot, but you hardly if never hear the piano in Radioheads stuff because their structure is different. Get it?
cool

I agree with you. I really like Coldplay and can play their stuff. (I play the ever popular "Clocks" among others in my band.) But I also must add that they are very different from Radiohead and it is tough to compare them in my opinion. Radiohead is creating some unbelievable new music. Just amazing. They get much more respect from a musician like myself. Both really cool bands!
Coldplay are OK but I don't think that they are the best of the British bands of their genre.
I prefer the Stereophonics and Richard Ashcroft (X Verve) as there stuff is a bit more up beat - and better music to drive to.
