Dude, it's freaking amazing here. There is a light dusting of snow and people completely forget how to drive. People drive like shit here anyway (but not me of course, I'm from Texas!) and I am generally baffled by the way people drive in this town.

But today was particularly bad because it rained all day. Now all those giant piles of crap that WERE snow are rock hard glacier-like objects that are seriously immovable. It's hardcore ice now. They are like hardened bigtime islands of ice that won't be thawing until August!

Yea, it's nuts, man. I celebrated the glorious weather today by staying at home all day...what a freaking mess!!

Rain on top of 15 inches of snow is not a good thing. At night, all that rain and melted snow freeze again, in effect, creating a giant iceskating rink called Chicago.

You open the door on the driver side and stick your leg out.
That's how you stop

You won't see many S2Ks in the Chicago area at this time of year. During the past two months that I've owned mine, I haven't seen another on the road on the few days I've been able to drive it. I'm pretty tired of these snow-ice piles around here.

I've seen you twice, Car Crazy... at least I think. Once was this past Sunday on Sheridan Rd. just south of the junction with Lake-Cook, headed southbound. Juliann and I were headed North in my Corrado... this would have been 1-2PM ish.

Last time was a couple weeks ago on Dundee just west of 94, heading west. I live just off Shermer, 1.5 miles south of Shermer and Dundee. It's cool to have another yellow in the neigborhood... you should meet up with us sometime. There's quite a group in the area. BTW, Greg and I drove on Sunday night and had dinner up in Highland Park... 2 Stooks parked on Central, with a light dusting of snow on them!

Jason: That must mean there's yet another yellow in the neighborhood, because whoever you saw on Sunday wasn't me.
The Stook was in the garage all day Sunday. As for the other time....the one time I was westbound Dundee near there was a few days before Christmas. And boy, Dundee is so badly potholed, it felt like something was going to fall off the car with all those bumps! Too bad I missed you guys on Sunday. I'll be back out when these roads dry!

Man you guys are so close, I work at the Allstate center at the Lake-Cook Rd. and Milwaukee Ave. crossing.

Maybe a lunch meeting would be good during the weekdays. . .

Let me know.
