One of our competitors PM'd me with a very good suggestion.

As you all may or may not know, the pitlane (1) and the service road on the very inside of Turn 1 (2) provide shortcuts that could shave precious seconds off your lap time -- I want to establish a last-minute rule that, yes you can run your car off the road a bit, but do not do this to an extent that you are taking advantage of the traction that (1) and (2) can provide.

The rule of thumb is simply this: Pretend this was your race car in real life -- drive wherever you want to as long as you're not going to raise the eyebrows of officials who are watching the race -- going off the road to take a major shortcut would certainly qualify.

Sorry for making this rule so late in the game, hopefully no one has worked too hard on taking cheater shortcuts

Good one, I tried this (as i try it on every track to see the time advantages), but it did not net me a lower time.

I am pretty sure that neither of these can give you any help at all.

I'm fairly certain you are right, in this car . It really depends on your HP tho'. You know how everyone "rides the wall" on the first corner at Tokyo 246, well that corner is a perfect example. In a slow car riding the wall will add to your time, but in a fast car there is no way possible to drive the corner correctly faster than riding the wall.

I want DAMAGE, and WEATHER!

Sorry, need my meds...

how do you improve your time hitting the wall on the first turn of the tokyo track? i lose time if i hit that outer wall. i usually drift through that turn.

Hmmm... S2R has a 58 at Laguna? I've got a 58.7xx in the F094/S at Laguna. Too bad I don't have a PS2 at my place. I was borrowing my friends. Hopefully by the time you have the next race I can enter. I need the money!

Sorry for taking so long to wrap up the Tournament, I've been busy seeing Lord of the Rings and playing Final Fantasy 10, so forgive me! When I get home tonight I'll wrap it up and award the cash prizes to the winners
