Then how do you steer? Or am I missing something entirely?

What is your button configuration...?

Well, I freaking MADE it through the IB-7 exam, with the complex strings in the Ruf. Made it by .033 of a second!

But now the last exam on that series is really giving me a hard time. I have been as close as .2 of a second close, but that's it. I just poured a Hacker Pschorr, maybe that will help...!

Left joystick to steer
Right joystick to gas and brake
R1 to shift up
R2 to shift down

I use cockpit mode, so I don't need to look back since I can use the rearview mirror.

Yea, that's what I first got but when I tried using it for PS2, it didn't work for MY ps2 and GT3, weird. Well, on the box, it said it was version 1.0 although it was Gameshark 2. Time go on another GS search.

You can call Gameshark and they will upgrade it for you, although it is taking them forever to ship me mine...

Greg, wait 'til you get to last test on Super License, 'Cote D'Azure'. It took me about as same amount of time as all the rest of tests to pass this one. But it is a fun track. rumor is this track and Laguna Seca track is so similar to real one that Rookie F1 drivers are playing...training on this game to learn these tracks.

Like above advise, Look at demo. Make sure turn on some features so that you'd see speed, Accel & brake pedals. you'll find it in Replay option.

cheers,

I don't have a gameshark but I've somehow managed to get all the licenses, have a garage with pretty much every car in the game, and have completed over 75% of the game. After I won a couple of the Formula 1 cars it got really boring being able to lap the field at will during every race so I've gone back to using some of the slower cars. I'm having fun again getting in some real racing. I like the simulation aspect of GT3 and having to win the money to buy the cars and upgrades during the early stages of the game was half the fun to me. I love that "angelic choir" Ahhhhhh Ahhhhh when you buy a car

you can get the upgrade at electronics boutique...when i bought mine there the guy gave me another cd with it and it worked fine.

that's all i can say about that...as far and the gas brake with the analog joystick i never even thought of that...i try to regulate the buttons sometimes but that's damn near impossible...so this might just work....i'll try it out tonight and thank you tomorrow if it works out for the best.
