Guess what?
46 minutes ago, I turned 26. . .
Anyone else find this a big deal? I always thought I'd be having more fun at this age when I was younger. . .but hell I never thought to myself that I'd have such a nice car at this age.

I know what you mean. . . When I turned 26 last April, it seemed like I got OLD overnight. . .
But, as I approach 27 I'm starting to realize two things:
1. That its only going to get worse
2. That I'm still VERY young and I should enjoy every minute of it before its gone

Goodness,
just got to work about 20 minutes ago and I feel like $h!t.
My friends and I have had a tradition since back in the college days to take the b-day guy out the night before his b-day. This way, he remembers every b-day through the pain that he felt throughout the day. Well this tradition continued after college, regardless of any work, meetings, or other event the b-day boy had to do the next day. In fact, as the years go by, it seems to keep becoming later and later of how late we stay out into the night when the person has to work the next day.
Last night around 1AM they came over (while I was finishing some write-ups on S2Ko, nonetheless), I had thought that they forgot the tradition. They dragged me out to the city, and we drank until 4AM at the South Loop bar in Chicago, actually if I remember correctly, I was doing the majority of the drinking.
I got home around 5, went to bed, woke up at 8 and now am at work. How the hell did I use to do this everyday in college. . .I am [red]HURTING[/red]
Well, I gotta say though, I do feel special. . .I have friends that come from all over town, and one came from Milwaukee, just to take me out and keep traditional alive. I also feel lucky 'cause I got a great secondary family here at S2Ko, thanks everyone.

Urmil, you wild man! Man, I'll be 35 actually April 27th, which is the day that [shameless plug] S2KDAYS! [/shameless plug]starts and I can't IMAGINE going to bed drunk at 5, then being anywhere RESEMBLING being alive by 8am, maybe 8 PM, not AM!

Yer a trooper, my man...
And yes, Corona, it's good...at [shameless plug] S2KDAYS! [/shameless plug], we'll be sure to raise a glass. I may bring some of my favorite brew, Hacker Pschorr...that stuff is ambrosia with a slice of lemon. Ahhhh...
