Default Guitarist Crew

Hey, if there is a beer crew and a weed crew, then there's no way we don't have some good guitarists on this forum. Post up some pics of your axe/rig and see what everybody else is working with!

Here's my Number One

1990 Gibson Explorer (not the double, as the strings do not run through the body... which is a good thing in the 1990 Explorer world)

Mahogany Body and neck, Rosewood fingerboard with two humbuckers,

I've been playing 17 years and this is by far my favorite guitar. Of course I'm a bit of a rocker, but it's a powerhouse on any type of music.

This thread might failllll but it'll be interesting to see what people have up their sleeves.

i don't have pictures on this computer, but i have two PRS Standards (all mahogany). i play through a Bad Cat Hot Cat 30 and a 4x12 Mesa cab.

i love the guitars, but my musical tastes have recently changed and i'm playing a much different type of music. went from stuff like 311, Incubus to Killswitch Engage, Atreyu, Bullet For My Valentine. so i've been thinking about trading the amp in for like a Mesa dual rec and picking up a new guitar.

Does a bass player count? Yamaha frettless through an ole' skool Kustom cab. The guitar player in my band plays through a 90x2 mesa boogie head played through 2 4x10 ORANGE cabs. It's a sweet set up.

I started out on the same thing man. once you pick up your first higher end guitar with a good set up on it it will make you wanna to play even more. Some days I'll just play and play until my neighbors say STOP!

i play every day as it is. the one thing that made a huge difference tho... first amp i had was this craptastic 10w squier brand thing, was total junk. after like a year of dealing with that, i finally bought a semi-decent crate amp for $150 on clearance ... omg the difference... i wish i had bought it the day i got the guitar.

i don't know that i'll upgrade the guitar for awhile though. i love my guitar. i beat on her.. she's pretty dirty... but she just keeps on playin a lot like my car actually...
