More secure doors. Unless the guns are designed to fire bullets that only travel a few yards, the passengers may discover that an over-excited or improperly trained pilot firing in the direction of the passenger cabin may be more of a threat to their safety than the hijackers.

Scary video. I'm in favor of arming flight crews with firearms. They could load special ammo like hollowpoint or "black talon" rounds that would be effective against unarmored assailants, but could not easily penetrate the aircraft walls. Many of the pilots are former air force personnel, so they are already trained in small arms use. The armed copilot would not start firing until the cockpit door had been breached, so at that point I'd be willing to accept a couple of stray rounds endangering the passengers. Hell, it's only first class anyway.

That video also demonstrates how easily the Taser can be defeated.

why have doors? why not completely seal the cockpit area from the rest of the airplane? The bigger airplanes can build in a lavatory and store meals and beverages inside the cockpit.
