24 Hour Fitness: $81/YEAR.

I did the 3 year prepaid plan with a cheap yearly rate for every year after that. Been living the good life for several years now.

$312/yr at Future Fitness.
That includes 1 session a month with a personal trainer, all the classes, and they have a pool. The equipment is good, and the place is clean.
They also have four of the cutest Asian girls there - I hope I don't drool too much, but the Stairmaster is just so much better when they do those lower back exercises right in front of me.

I was never a huge Friends fan, so I probably missed that episode. What happened?

$120/8 months, but it's a school gym so it's pretty small.. I don't even know if it's worth it though, may just workout at home..

The friends thing was where Ross and Chandler tried to cancel their gym membership, but they were always lured in and felt bad about it by the employees.. And if I remember correctly, they renewed their memberships.. even after trying to switch bank companies to get out of it, great episode

49 EUR a month

plus some assorted startup fees and 49 EUR yearly fee = 637 EUR a year.

10 min walk from home, no need to drive!

They have lots of Girls, sauna, pool, all classes, free video rental, unlimited trainer sessions, child care, brand new location. Of course this is Germany, so there are way too many naked men dangling their moneymakers around in the locker rooms.

For Gold's Gym I paid $26 a month, but I had to pay $198 up front. Not too bad, except I only used it for 3 months and wound up having to pay for 2 years!!
