Tonight I went out for my mothers birthday with my family to a nice restaurant. We were seated and then our waitress walked over and i had my back to where she was and then i looked over and fell into a trance. She was one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen! I stared at her and she caught me bigtime, but didn't seem to mind. Everytime she came bye i stared and she caught me. I was dieing to ask her out by couldn't do it infront of my family and others since the restaurant was so busy. We enjoyed a good meal with desert and paid the check. As we walked out I caught eyes with her as i walked out being so mad that i didn't get to try to ask her out. The whole car ride home i was contemplating doing the restaurant call-back. The one thing you always want to do, but never do it. I decided I was going to look up the number of the restaurant online and call and tell the hostess I was there half an hour ago and where i was sitting and describe what the waitress looked like and ask to speak with her. I got the number, called and got the hostess to put me on the phone with her. I said "I don't know if you remember me or not, but I was there about half an hour ago with my family in the green sweater". She said "yeah, i remember you". I said "You might think i am crazy, but I wanted to ask you out at the restaurant, but couldn't do it infront of my family and you seemed very busy". She said "I have a boyfriend, but that was very flattering and sweet of you to call back". I said "Thats too bad, we could of had a good time. Have a good night" She said the same and i hung up disappointed, but not that pissed because at least i tried. I figured that most girls would of thought i was a stalker or sorts for doing that, but i figured I have nothing to lose, only something to gain. This girl is the type that is born with a boyfriend, she was that hot. Like 5 feet tall, long brown hair, tan skin, probably 100 pounds, skinny and curvy wearing all black and she looked like cat-woman. I'd rather try and know i failed, then not try at all and wonder what if. Anyone else been in a situation like this. This girl was wifey in the making! Oh well, get em next time.

 

I know the feeling. Just had a somewhat similar experience.

I did that two summers ago in one of my favorite restaurants in Michigan. I always went in there after work, and I always had the same waitress, and I finally asked her out. It turned out she had a boyfriend and I left. I have only been back there twice since then, and of course she remembered me... can you say awkward?
