You probably need to flash your BIOs. To flash your BIOs is not hard or tricky, go to the motherboards website and download the latest BIOs firmware. Read the instructions carefully, because flashing you BIOs can ruin your motherboard if you have a power surge. if the motherboard is relatively new, he probably won't need to flash the bios. Most boards from the last 2+ years have 48bit LBA (what's needed for >137GB) standard.

If you don't want to do the slipstream process, you can buy partition magic. It's a good product.
