[QUOTE=C_Unit,Jul 18 2007, 11:35 AM]actually, i don't think most 9 year olds could actually read a Harry Potter book these days.

My gf drags me to those movies...(and she reads the books) she's over 9, but I still question why she likes Harry Potter... and I of course ridicule her hoping I can force some sort of change in her even though it's not likely or healthy.

I prefer to call it "helping them grow".. I'm not suppose to do anything except pay taxes and die.

I was joking about that Dy, although I do think Harry Potter is extremely uninteresting and she knows that. I still go to the f**kin movies and listen to little kids talk the whole time.

While I'm not a huge fan, I think it's an amazing phenomenon, this whole "Harry Potter" series. It's just amazing as to how much trouble these fans go through just to find the latest info on the upcoming books, not to mention actually stealing the damned things and posting them up on the net...just a week or two from release, no less. I'm just blown away by the whole thing.

I do think it is pretty messed up that people have to ruin things like this for other fans. Like, right after the other book came out, I saw this t-shirt for sale that said something like: "On page XXX, Dumbledore dies. There, now I just saved you from reading all those fu**ing pages." It was funny, but kinda messed up.
