back on topic, I'd REALLY like to find out where I can find said security system. I'd imagine it would drain the battery very quickly, though. But it would be well worth it to teach potential haters a lesson

 

i was in the wal-mart parking lot and i pulled into a spot and this teenage mom was walking by my car with her assload of kids as i was putting the top up. one of the little girls about 5-6 yrs. old was just staring in awe as my top went up...haha it was cute. i get out and i hear the little girl say "wow mommy, did you see that car!?" and the mom goes "stop staring... it's not that great."

 

lemme guess...minivan driver

you can't blame them for being jealous; If I had a minivan, I would immediately trade it for a skateboard and radio flyer

 

i was riding down westheimer in houston, minding my own business...shit i wasn't even speeding. outta know where a hpd police officer pulled up next to me at a light and said, "you betta slow that piece of shit down, before i take your ass to jail." i guess i had a befuddled look on my face, cause then he said, "yeah boy i'm talkin' to you" and took off. that was like four years ago, but i remember it like it was yesterday.

 

There'll always be idiots out there who have nothing to do than being a pain in the rear. Just move on and be glad that your life is not as miserable as theirs!

 

NObody has done anything to mine so far. But mine sits in a closed garage all night, a secure garage at work, and I won't take it anyplace where I will be away from it too long or into a questionable area of town. If I am going to a movie theater (which is always crawling with teens) I take the Dodge.

I live near a couple really posh suburbs though where an S2000 does not stand out. My car is ghetto compared to what these people drive. I will go to retail places and grocery stores and leave the car top down for an hour or so with no problems.

My two rules,

Stay away from teens and college age kids. When a person gets beyond 25, their propensity to vandalize something for no reason goes down exponentially.

Stay away from blue collar places. Nothing wrong with blue collar jobs or honest work, but some guy making $10 or less an hour, or some guy working union is more likely to be thinking the car is too showy or not american enough and do something stupid.

i heard on the news that the police will hire people with minor offenses to be a cop since not that many people are interested.

 

My car got key two weeks after I got it. Still had 30 day tags on it. Left an 6 inch gash on my drivers side door. Sad thing was it was broad day light out and in a nice shopping center.
