I have only been to church about 3 times in my life (I am a bastard). I find it funny that people listen to gospel music, say "have a blessed day", etc..... then freaking lie, litter, etc......

- One of my tenants has lied endlessly, but her answering machine says to have a blessed day...

- One of my previous employees listened to gospel music, talked jesus, etc.... then littered, her husband got arrested for selling fake highschool basketball tickets, etc.....

- An acquantence of ours was selling real estate without a license....his wife, friends, himself at the time, all talked about church this, church that....

- Another guy from that same church saw nothing wrong with a little bank fraud....he bought a house for $25k, but instead told the bank it was $35k and that the seller was holding a second mortgage (which they weren't)..... anyway... he didn't have to pay anything at settlement....the aleged second mortgage was forgiven (amen brother) and he had the bank lend 80% of $35k instead of the real amount.....

- Even my wife's sister...very church going.... she borrowed some toys for her daycare from a friend...when the freind came to get them back, she hid the good ones in the closet on purpose and the lady never got them back...

I may not be a church going guy, but I am pretty sure Jesus didn't tell these people to do these things.?

I am sure there are other stories I could dig up, but.........

Just wondering what the point behind this post is, aside from pointing out that there are hypocrites out there...

Every group (racial, religous, gender, etc, etc) has people that do things they aren't supposed to do based on their beliefs or whatever.

I hate to hear stories like this (as a Christian), but that's life I guess - it's to be expected. I'm not perfect either and guess what - neither were/are a lot of others. David was a murderer. Moses and Elisha had bad tempers. Solomon was a womanizer. Abraham was a liar. Jacob was a cheater and deceiver. The list goes on and on....(just to save you the time of digging up stories ).

Anyways, I'll leave it at that - I could go on for hours about this but I doubt that's the point of this post.

Fair enough.

Think I could borrow the Evo for the next month or two - we're getting so much snow that I need an AWD to make it to work...?

one thing that almost every belief system in the world holds in common is the idea that people are not perfect.

I would but..........they make you watch this video about the "EVO".... it is lame...but they explain the oil changes, etc..... then they say "these tires are not made for 32F or less, you will want to get some M&S tires if you plan to drive in cold weather".

That is their disclaimer to prevent people like Greg Stevens (the first USA totaled S2000 that we know about) (who I found out got banned from this site fore some reason) from smacking a wall backwards.

"Moral" by which standards? "Morality" itself is rather vague unless you have a standard with which to compare...
