Have you reported any threads to moderators???
I just became aware of the ability to "notify a moderator"? I cannot imagine whining about anything someone posts here?
I for one and not a tattletale (snitch, rat, etc.....)..... I could care less what people say, it won't offend me personally...
(please do not report this thread to a moderator
)

ps...hey lips.... how about we start an arguement until they lock the thread....o wait.........

P.S. - Scot: how's that ugly kid of yours doing...oooopss..
I think reporting a thread, ESPECIALLY one in off-topic, is against the general purpose of a message board. For example, because a very small number of people complained about the recent "bushisms" thread, it was locked (although not erased). However the "who's the most annoying person" thread which is similar in context (personal opinions on 1 or more people who you probably don't like too much) is alive and well (knock on wood).
"A place to yap and chat about everyday topics. Off-topic discussions welcome here."
Last I checked, politics is an everyday topic (not for most people but it's an everyday aspect of our lives). A small minority who took offense to someone ripping on G.W. complained and the thread was closed, while the vast majority either read it and found it humourous, read it and disagreed with it but hit the 'ol back button, or steered clear of it, were cast aside.
Locking threads when they get out of hand (several of the Mod vs Anti-Mods, and the banning of Bieg, for example) is valuable. But locking a thread because a few people take offense to it is assinine.
My 47 cents (damn inflation!).

Well Scot, I've got about 16 emails from people reporting your thread, I can't take it anymore
To tell the truth, I've got a lot less PM's then I thought I would, and even that was very little.
Part of the thing about reporting a thread is the anonimity of it. It's always the guy in the back of the class that says to the teacher on the way out "Mike started a fire in the back of the class" I never did find that weasel, but I'm getting off topic. I would rather know if someone has a problem with a post then have them walk away entirely, but I'm not gonna change something just because one person has a problem with it either.. Do you guys get tho see the Molson Commercials?...It's all about balance.
As for Politics, it just seems to be a touchy subject for most people and I find ( stereotype ) Americans take thier government very seriously, Nobody here has a problem with me saying Cretian's an ass. But now I'm talking politics, and I'm not supposeta' ( I must have spelled his name wrong cuz it kinda looks like cretin )
And that is all I know on the subject, unless I think of anything else

I have never reported a thread, nor will I ever report a thread. Say what you want, I don't care. I grew up in NY and I learned that the people that make fun of you are your friends, so you all must be my friend, right??
