i agree -- that does look pretty good! i almost got a z3 3.0 over the s2k, but decided against it given the pending facelift.

btw, any news if the 'm' series will have any differences from that look?

Looks better than the previous iteration. The front looks good but the back end, however, has got to go. It looks very similar to the front end of the new 7 series. Awful.

 

i like it a lot...its WAAAYYYYY better... it isn't the best..but its an improvement..

It would look a lot better than the current one.
I don't know if I would like it till I see the production photo or even in person. It looks promising. The current one is simply one of the ugliest car ever.

These pictures are very close to what the new model will look like! The new BMW design style is sometimes referred to as "edge design" and some of the other words that get tossed about are "elements of tension" and the new BMW "language of forms".

The Z9 Concept sort of started this style but the X-coupe that was shown near the end of last year/beginning of this year, really showed off this new style. For those who have seen the new 7-series you will see this style there also.

I have yet to warm up to this design style but I'm not ready to say I don't like it either, I'm still deciding. It just hits me that the car is frowning or it is sad, mingster picked up on the same reaction.
One thing for sure, it makes the S2000 even more beautiful!
