Default Hawking Black Hole Theory

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=stor...and_black_holes

Well he took back alot of his statements he made in the past and came up with some new answers. One was that a black hole is a doorway to another universe...I still think it is but only one way to find out.......

on what do you base your thoughts that it is a doorway to another universe? Do you have a background in theoretical black hole physics? If so I'd like you to explain your thoughts...if not, I'll stand behind some actual research.

Hawking himself suggested this theory, which never made sense to me. I like his current explanation better, although it's not nearly as glamorous.

right, he suggested it...but claims that he was wrong. I'm not one to follow theoretical science blindly, I was wondering if the OP is, or if he has done his own research into the subject. I myself spent a lot of time studying relativity near and inside black holes. The math is really ing cool and the implications are mind boggling.

I won't say anything about the glamour of his explanation until I read it. A 1 page newsbite is NOT a scientific explanation for anything.

What I meant was that the general public finds it less glamorous, but I'm sure the math is intruiging. It's been a long time since I studied relativity, and I doubt I could make sense of his work anymore.
