Default HBO, Showtime, or Cinemax?

Hey guys, quick question before I sign up for a premium channel package with Time Warner Cable.

Which one is better?...

HBO
Showtime
Cinemax

* Better movies?
* Better new releases?
* I'm not into network exclusive series.

thanks!

All three are decent, but every time I'm flipping the channels now, it seems like Cinemax has all of the good movies on now. You also get the Skinemax advantage late night.

All 3 have their pros and cons. HBO has some pretty good shows on, but the really good ones are done (Sopranos, Rome). However, they still have Entourage and some other good shows. Showtime is starting to take over with some pretty good shows (Dexter,Tudors), so If I had to choose one, it would be Showtime. With onDemand you can watch soft-core pron on Cinemax whenever you want and they typically run good movies on Cinemax. The pron that Cinemax runs late at night certainly gets the job done.

I go with HBO, not only for past shows but their philosophy of made-for-HBO stuff. Their future should be just as bright as their past. I had all three for a year on DirecTV and decided to cut back to just HBO. Showtime is right up there too and for the same reasons, made-for-SHO stuff.

My issue with Showtime is that it has a limited schedule - you will see the same movie and show at the same time for weeks. Good if you are trying to catch something, bad if you like variety.

Thanks for the replies guys... it just made it harder to make a decision for me.. lol
Not really a big deal, since I could switch it to a different premium package anytime, with no extra charge.

I might just go with skinemax.

But, what about those Starz, Here!, and those other ones...?

Starz is decent because you get a bunch of focused movie channels (different genres) and I also like Encore and IFC (not as good as the others but cheaper I believe, thus worth picking up as a side dish).

I have Timewarner too and it looks like HBO and Cinemax is packaged together. At least that's what I have and see on the bill every month. Showtime and Starz is separate. If possible, I'd get Starz too since all they show are movies.

I get HBO and Cinemax on Comcast lumped together.. I also have encore, IFC, and a couple others.. maybe The Movie Channel? I definitely watch HBO the most.. Entourage, and the biggest selection of movies on Demand.
