Default HBO's series Deadwood

Anyone watching this series? I think last night was episode 4 (first three aired Friday as a repeat to get everyone up to speed). Except for every other word being mother fuc$er or coc&sucker (yeah, I get the point it was a tough place) I likin' the story and characters a lot.

One thing though, I was bummed big time when they killed off Wild Bill last night. In hindsight you could see it coming, quite a bit of foreshadowing, but I though it was just making the point that he had some enemies.

So, anyone watching the series.

I think it may be the best show on TV now, in my opinion. HBO is great, they keep pushing the envelope and their shows have great plots.

umm.... about wild bill getting killed off, he was based on a real person in history (James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok) and the real Wild Bill was killed in a town called Deadwood. So while this is all written by a group of people who work for HBO they are trying to stick to factual history, and it would be a crock if Wild Bill lived....

But I understand you, he was crazy and entertaining, and I think that they could have posponed his death a couple of more episodes.

Heres a link all about Bill's life

After reading the end, it shows bill was shot "A few months later..." (after entering Deadwood) so I guess a few episodes is all he got.

Definitely one of the best shows around. I saw the promo and thought this was gonna be the "Sopranos" of the wild west. Looked interesting and it hasn't gotten old yet.

The "bar owner" is definitely running the show but he's got competition now and that's going to make it interesting.

Def. my fav. show on TV other than Soprano. I really thought Wild Bill and Montana was going to be around for a while. Too bad.
