He doesn't know the meaning of the word "fear"
I recently read a quote - probably apocryphal - from Bobby Bowden, allegedly discussing one of his players:
He doesn't know the meaning of the word "fear". Of course, if you look at his grades, you'll realize that he doesn't know the meaning of a lot of words.

I saw a lady on T.V. She was born without arms. Literally, she was born with her hands attached to her shoulders... and that was sad, but then they said, "Lola does not know the meaning of the word 'can't.'" And that to me was kinda worse... in a way... ya know?
Not only does she not have arms, but she doesn't understand simple contractions. It's very simple, Lola, you just take two words, you put them together, then you take out the middle letter, you put a comma in there and you raise it up!

FTFY
Nevertheless, I fixed it.
(I don't know if it's me, or my keyboard, but lately I've had many left-side letters fail to appear when I'm sure I've depressed the corresponding key. I have my suspicions, however.)

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought that when one writes FTFY, one actually fixes it, rather than merely quoting the error.
Nevertheless, I fixed it.

I didn't even see the missing letter.
I was sitting in a hospital's urgent care waiting room once and the news was on; the talking head read off a story line about a nuclear chemical spill that just happened in a Japanese research facility. They had to evacuate the building. The reporter called it The worst nuclear disaster to ever hit Japan.
I started laughing so hard I almost wound up on the ground - not a single other person in the waiting room understood the irony.
