My brother got something similar to this. I couldn't get rid of it using the "normal" method of just deleting it.

Here's what I did...

I ran SpyBot - Search & Destroy. It found a bunch of crap, and said it needed to re-boot to do a good cleaning. I let it. (Download from: http://spybot.safer-networking.de/en/index.html)

I then ran AdAware. It found more crap, and said it needed to do the re-boot thing too.

Finally, I installed Spyware Blaster (http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html). Its similar to an Antivirus program for Spyware. It puts naughty Active X and other Spyware type applications that can be installed from the web on a blacklist and doesn't allow them to execute.

All programs and updates for the programs are free. SpyWare Blaster requires manual updates unless you pay for it though, so you gotta remember to run the update every once in awhile.

got all those but if this doesn't work i'm just going to reinstall IE again...during this whole process my aim even got ed and said kernell.dll was'nt found and then I had to reinstall aim!! I still get these damn pop ups "simply the best" with some cheezy comp ad or spyware ad wtf ahhh!!!!!!!!!!! this better work....ahhhhh

Just go to ur system tool and reset your date to the day before you encountered the virus.
