Default Help me name a puppy - Seriously.

OK folks

The wife and I are getting a new puppy in a week, its a Border Terrier. We're finally going with a small breed as we're kinda tired of big dogs only. We're having a hard time with a name as we're used to doing Germanic or French names.

Stipulations in a name: Must be Irish or Scottish or Olde English of some sort, Gaelic is fine as well. It must also be appropriate for a Male dog...which the puppy will be.

As inspiration, here is the litter, one of them will be coming home next thursday.

Be kind, its just a little dog.

I always thought naming a dog with a human name to be quite fun. Let's say you name your pup Michael. Now imagine you yelling out Michael when you're chasing him down the street! I promise you endless fun!

How about "Robbie"? (As in Burns)

Or "Laird"?

(Note: "Phydeaux" is silly; it's plural. Try "Phydeau" instead.)

If you can't find a name here:

http://www.20000-names.com/male_scottish_names.htm

or here:

http://www.20000-names.com/male_irish_names.htm

or here:

http://www.20000-names.com/male_gaelic_names.htm

or here:

http://www.20000-names.com/male_english_names.htm

then don't get the puppy; you're obviously too narrow-minded for its good.
