Default Help: Microphone needed!

Hey, if any of you sound gurus out there could help me, which microphones are the best for recording voices, oh say for games. I know it should be a condensed mic, but Im not very good at choosing something in a field I dont know. I wanna find something at a reasonable price range for an excellent sound quality...

Please help!

A condensor mic if by far the best type, but they can be expensive. If that is the way you want to go, take a look at the AKG's

If you want to do something on a little bit of a budget, pick up a Shure SM58 better for vocals, or an SM 57, better for sounds, and very very clean.

I use SM57's for micing Amps, drums, and back ground vocals

Crap, one more thing.. they 99% of the time come with XLR connectors, otherwise known as balanced.. you would need a mixer to interface with most recording medium, unless its a DAT or something that has the XLR's built in
